I've let up on the job search this past week, even though I know I shouldn't have.  This is when I should be looking most heavily, but I'm afraid of the next step.  Not of teaching, that I know I can do, but I' afraid of how it will affect other areas of my life. ANYWAYS...I've been doing a lot of ceramics lately and demoed raku at an art event in Ship yesterday, so I have some new pieces to upload, but knowing me it will be a while before I do.

My most viewed deviation is http://elf2tiny.deviantart.com/art/awesome-bowl-85499437 but I don't understand why, it's just a bowl.  Maybe I should put "awesome" in more of my titles.  Anyways, I haven't done ceramics or any art since last December.  Unless you count student teaching as an art, it takes up most of my time.  And scrawlings of designs on random pieces of paper.  I have portraits to upload from last semester. That's about it.  Student teaching is spinning me around pretty good (but I wouldn't rather be doing anything else), and the thought of graduating and getting a job and trying to make the most of my time and of myself.  Lif

I should not be updating this right now because I don't have time.  I never have time lately.  I have 5 pieces firing in the kiln right now.  The only outcomes of a semester's worth of work and trouble.  I thought I was stressed last time before the first critique back in October, but nothing compares to this past two weeks.  5 of my pieces cracked or broke (the only 5 at that point) more than halfway through the semester, making me have to redo all that work in two weeks, and the carving I do takes a lot of time, and I had to troubleshoot why they were cracking.  Anyways, I was able to fix two of them (I hope, tomorrow's opening of the kiln
